Landlocked SUP Club was born on the evening of the 10th September 2009 at Rother Valley Country Park in Rotherham, South Yorkshire when 2 paddlers met and did circuits of the lake shooting the breeze and coming to the conclusion that more people should get involved locally. It is the intention that we gather a few more like minded souls, form a proper club so we can gain the benefit of association to organisations such as BSUPA and link into their insurance deals, advice and information. In the meantime we will be looking at venues where we can SUP – lakes, rivers, canals and any other body of water. We are also looking at approaching the owners and the holders of access permission for reservoirs that have always been the domain of sailing clubs and fishing clubs to see if we may have some rights of access granted.
