Dedicated to STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING on the island of Hayling, situated on the South Coast of England and the promotion of paddle sports in general, embraced as part of an island lifestyle.

Managed by Steve and Mandy West, both are members of Team Starboard UKs 2010 Race Team and life long 'islanders' and ocean sports participants and competitors.

Our aim is to nurture the introduction of stand up paddleboarding to the island, while promoting other paddle sports suited to the islands waters. Short and long term goals will include but not be limited to;

Establish regular 'meets' to talk story, paddle and create a social network. Offer 'introductory sessions' for complete beginners. Provide 'refinement' workshops for novice to immediate paddlers. Invite 'experts' in choosen disciplines to participate in sharing knowledge. Promote sound paddling techniques and risk management skills. Promote flat water paddling, adventuring, racing and surf disciplines. Offer advice regarding equipment needs. Promote equally the participation of men and women (including juniors). Identify opportunities to involve local business in supporting the sport. Seek opportunity to establish a possible 'Island Race Series', develop our signature event, 'The Islander Paddler Stand Up Paddleboard Race' in conjunction with Hayling Island Sailing Club.
